about

"Jag hör bara i ena örat! Nä nu är det båda."

Originally released 25 May 2002, this was the very first publication of Nurtharikja of Större Ångermanland. Licensed for use by the band, this official "semi-bootleg" featuring previously unreleased songs performed live at the local place is reissued just as the CDR was made back then - the only editing done is ai-upscaling the artwork.

Mistweaver, from Täby, Uppland, Sweden, was a melodic death metal band with slight-yet-increasingly progressive ideas and a touch of classic heavy metal songwriting. Formed in 1998 and disbanded in 2003, never signed to a label and never had their demos put on a compilation as so many have had. Their typically swedish high skill level gained them some positive attention from the scene but never enough to take off. They shared, for the entire life span of the band, a rehearsal place with international rockstars Tiamat at the community centre named Runan (The Rune) and that is also where the live tracks were recorded.

The first track, Primate, was recorded February 23 2002 at Runan, Täby. Tracks 2 and 3 recorded May 17 2002, also at Runan in Täby. The last track ("bonus track") was recorded during the Time Breeds Insanity (2001 demo) studio sessions at Djursholm school studio in the autumn of 2001, as a joke and a degradation of wimpy power metal. The unearthly vocals on this track were performed by guest stars Athretil and Deathmonk. This track was also released as a web-single at the old mp3.com, where it held the #1 spot on the Cover Songs chart for a long time during 2001 and 2002.

With love, Nurtharikja.
